This just in... The Janis Nowlan Band was voted Best of Philly in The Knot Best of Weddings Magazine for the 3rd consecutive year (2007, 2008, & 2009). The Band was rated Best of the Best and received the highest rating (3 stars) - "Above and Beyond" amongst the top wedding bands in the Philadelphia area for the second year in row (2008 & 2009). What sets this honor apart from others is that it's not just our colleagues (or even The Knot) bestowing this award on our business - it is real brides who were thrilled with the level of service we brought to their wedding day. One bride was quoted as saying "The band's namesake, Janis Nowlan, is "very friendly" and a "great musician". "She and her band have tremendous talent and can keep the party moving!" "They had a huge song selection, and we received numerous compliments on how talented they are".
The Knot Best of Weddings Magazine is a national magazine and a coast to coast guide to the country's top Bands, Florists, Venues, Photographers, Cakes, and everything in between as rated by real brides.

The JNB was honored to perform this past January at President Barack Obama’s Inaugural Ball which was held at the Ronald Reagan International Trade Center in Washington, DC. The Inaugural Ball was hosted by the National Association of Manufacturers. The event was attended by CEOS from some of the country's most prestigious corporations.

The CEO of ExxonMobil who attended the Inaugural Ball loved the JNB so much that he has hired them to perform at his private party in Washington, DC this coming December.

The JNB recently entertained at the National Kidney Foundation’s 25th Annual Kidney Ball. The black tie gala attended by more than 400 guests, was held March 7, 2009 at the Bellevue Park Hyatt. TV personality, Lynn Doyle (from It's Your Call With Lynn Doyle) was the MC for the evening and danced the night away. She even came up on stage to perform with the band!

The JNB will be entertaining at next year’s Kidney Ball to be held at the Bellevue Park Hayatt on March 6, 2010.

Mark your calendar! The JNB will be performing an outdoor summer concert at Wilson Farm Park in Chesterbrook on Thursday, August 6, 2009 from 7pm to 9pm. Bring a blanket and chairs and come enjoy the sounds of JNB under the stars.
