This dressy, all-inclusive party featured open bars, hors d'oeuvres, champagne toast, dancing, live music, speed dating, casino games, tarot cards and MORE!! The  Delaware Financial Literacy Institute's (DFLI) 10th Anniversary Gala held Friday, October 28th, 2011 was a blast! This celebration  acknowledged the wonderful accomplishments of DFLI over the past decade, as well as, honored Governor Markell and his vision into the next ten years! This was an evening filled with delicious food, a silent auction, and most importantly, FANTASTIC music performed by yours truly, the Janis Nowlan Band!! The Janis Nowlan Band was voted Best of Philly in The Knot Best of Weddings Magazine for the 5th consecutive year (2007, 2008, 2009, 2011 & 2012). The Band was rated Best of the Best and received the highest rating (3 stars) - "Above and Beyond" amongst the top wedding bands in the Philadelphia area for the second year in row (2008 & 2009). What sets this honor apart from others is that it's not just our colleagues (or even The Knot) bestowing this award on our business - it is real brides who were thrilled with the level of service we brought to their wedding day. The JNB was honored to perform at President Barack Obama’s Inaugural Ball which was held at the Ronald Reagan International Trade Center in Washington, DC. The Inaugural Ball was hosted by the National Association of Manufacturers. The event was attended by CEOS from some of the country's most prestigious corporations.

The CEO of ExxonMobil, who attended the Inaugural Ball, loved the JNB so much that he hired them to perform at his private party in Washington, DC the past two years in a row! ___________________________________________________________________

The JNB recently entertained at the National Kidney Foundation’s 25th Annual Kidney Ball. The black tie gala attended by more than 400 guests, was held March 7, 2009 at the Bellevue Park Hyatt. TV personality, Lynn Doyle (from It's Your Call With Lynn Doyle) was the MC for the evening and danced the night away. She even came up on stage to perform with the band!

The JNB entertained last year at the Kidney Ball, which was held at the Bellevue Park Hayatt on March 6, 2010.
